Little britches and his dad, mom ,3 sisters and 1 brother moved to Colorado where they suffer many hardships. They moved to Colorado because his father had lung sickness and they wanted to get out of the city. Little Britches' good friend Hi, a cowboy, teaches him trick riding. Little Britches father tells him that if he tries to be a good man they can be partners.
